The People

The name is London. The room is ours.

On the floor

Arjun spent nine years cutting hair in other people's salons, the last four on a TONI&GUY floor across town. Meghana ran front-of-house for a hotel group and could not walk past a badly kept appointment book without fixing it. In 2025 they took the Essensuals licence for a corner they had both grown up ten minutes from.

In Their Words

The name gets you through the door. We have to earn the second visit.

Arjun, co-owner

They looked at bigger high streets first. Koramangala, Indiranagar, the places a premium salon is supposed to go. Then they kept coming back to BSK 2nd Stage, where families had to cross the city for a cut done properly, and where nobody was going to be impressed by a logo alone.

Their rule is the one their first boss taught Arjun: a customer should leave knowing exactly what was done, what it cost and why. Prices are on the wall and on this site. If a treatment will not work on your hair, someone tells you before you sit down.

The moment they are proudest of so far is small. A grandmother, a mother and a bride booked into three chairs on the same morning, and all three were out of the door on time. Meghana still has the page from the diary.

How We Got Here

Four pages from the diary.

A Day Here

Eight thirty to eight thirty.

Seven days a week, the same hours. This is what the room actually does with them.

8:30

Doors open

Mirrors wiped, tools laid out, the first kettle on. The room is quiet exactly once a day and this is it.

9:15

First in the chair

Usually someone on the way to work who wants twenty minutes and no conversation. We can do that.

11:00

The colour block

Colour takes the long slots, so the morning fills up first. This is when the room gets loud.

14:00

The lull

The quiet hour. The best time to come if you want the room to yourself and a stylist who isn't watching the clock.

17:30

The evening rush

Offices empty out and the walk-ins start. Booked appointments always come first, which is the point of booking.

20:30

Lights down

Last client of the day, and nobody is rushed out for it. Then the floor gets swept and it starts again tomorrow.

How We Work

Three promises.

The salon entrance
Styling stations

No surprises

Every price is published. Nothing is added at the counter, and nothing is sold to you while you are in the chair.

Honest answers

If a treatment is wrong for your hair, we say so and lose the sale. That is the whole business.

The same hands

You are booked with a person, not a slot. They remember what you asked for last time.
